Alert: Hurricane Dorian

ALERT: We know that all residents of Florida are facing an unknown and possibly devastating weather condition, Hurricane Dorian. We hope that everyone is spared the danger of this storm and all remain safe and secure. We have made preparations to receive claims calls and provide guidance in the event your property is damaged. In order to ensure the best possible responsiveness to claims damage, we encourage each of you to locate your property policy(ies) and note the Claims Hotline provided by the insurer – keep these numbers near you and in a water-tight bag.

Please jot down your policy number and insurer name. In the event you cannot locate the Claims number, please contact our Office at 888-253-8498. (If AT&T is fully operational, you will reach one of our Claims Professionals.) If you cannot reach our office, please note that Setnor Byer Insurance & Risk has a back-up, 24/7, Claims Hotline that can be reached at 800-393-8537. In the event you have internet service after the storm, you can email your claims data to claims@setnorbyer.com. As in all matters of this nature, responses to claims calls are handled on a priority basis, with the most devastating damage addressed first. As always, your insurer allows for the reimbursement of necessary and reasonable expenses to protect your property from further damage; this includes securing openings (windows, doors, roofs) If you experience non-emergency damage (i.e. screen damage, cosmetic damage, fallen trees about the property), please understand that adjusters may not be as responsive as you’d like, due to the sheer volume of calls they will field.
